Welsh Cakes

I think that I never did a post of a recipe so today I am going to write about it. This recipe gave my littel cousin.

INGREDIENTS

240g flour (or self raising flour)
90g butter
90g caster sugar
Handful of raisins 
1 medium egg
1/2 teaspoon of baking power
Pinch of salt
Pinch of cinnamon
A little milk (if necessary)

Put the self-raising flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Use a fork to mix all of the ingredients together.

Cut the butter into 2cm cubes.

Add the butter to the mix and use your fingers to rub the butter into the mixture until it is crumbly.

Break the egg into a bowl and whisk lightly until mixed.

Add the egg, sugar and raisins to the mixture. Mix all the ingredients together with a wooden spoon.

Sprinkle some flour on a wooden board and use a rolling pin to roll out the mixture to about 1cm thick.

Cut out as many cakes as possible.

Add a little to a frying pan and heat. Add some of the cakes to the pan and cook for three minutes. Turn the cakes over and cook for another three minutes. Each side should be golden brown.

Sprinkle some sugar on top.

Today I want to suggest a question? Is it true that the world wants to get rid of famine?

 

Yes, obviously if someone asks you this you will answer yes. But it's a topic to think about . All the world talks about all the problems that humanity has. But not many people do anything to correct them. There are some organizations that fight to solve the problems, but it's very difficult for them to wipe out the global famine. They can't get money for the solution Few people know that if 1% of all money destined for weapons was used to stop global famine, the problem would be finished. So the problem isn't that there isn't a solution but the problem is that if they are not interested enough in wiping out  famine or probably they don't want to stop budget for weapons, possibly because they are scared  if someone does a military coup.

SMARTBRUSH

Today we had to present a product for the subject of business studies. We had to create a new product and design all the campaign.,
We designed the logo, we invented a product and we had to talk about it( price, where we would sell it...)
So now, I'm going to present our product. It's name is SMARTBRUSH. It straightens your hair with only one brush. So it's easy, you will be perfect in seconds.
It's made from ceramic (for heat), aluminium for the body and the bristles are made from tortoise shell.
This task is only the first of all that we are going to do, to help us become future business owners. We are inventors of our future. All is in our hands. Our generation has to build the best future for us. We have to work hard, study hard...Because all will be essential. Maybe one of us will be president or scientist or inventor of something incredible...So we have to fight for our future and the future of other generations.  But  first we have to fight to protect our world because if we don't do it , it will  be wiped out. If the earth is wiped out  we won't can be presidents or scientists or inventors...

Plans for summer

The good weather is comming, the plants and trees are coming alive again, the temperature is going up, the high school will finish, and the calm and relax will start. But this year will be different...I'm going to do the work of resarch and I will work in a summer school. My plan for this summer was to London in a Royal Academy of Ballet for two weeks but I was late to make the inscription, there aren't enough places. So, probably the next summer i will go in London.

One plan for this summer is that I will pass my driving theory test.

Another plan is that I'm going to work in a summer school, I like children and last summer I worked im ot. It's a littel bit stressful because the small children never shut up. But normally I like it.

When I say before I 'm going to do the research work. So this summer I will have a lot of work.

But my principal objective for this summer is to engoy it. I'm dreaming of going to the beach, going to partys. I need summer again. I want that batxillerat is finished and the summer will start now!

My sister's keeper

This film is based on a true story. 

Ane, the protagonist, was conceived to give all the parts of her body to her sister, because her sister is ill. So Ane, spent a lot of time in a hospital to cure her sister. Everyday she had a lot of analysis and operations... It's constant. The parents of Ane dicided to have her because before she was born they had another baby. The doctors talked with them. And told them that if they didn't find some organs for her she will died. So the doctor proposed that if they have another child the first daughter could survive. So they do it. 

Ane was only the medicine for her sister.

One day Ane dicided that she wanted to stop to give everything to her sister. So she takes her parents to court.

I think that this film make you think about illnesses and problems. It makes you realise how lucky you are not to have these problems in your life.

The cove

On Wednesday I saw the presentation of Noa and Augustina. Their topic was"the cove". They talked about hunting dolphins off the coast of Japan. Some time before I saw a documentary in 30 minutes. In it I could see the truth about zoos. I say the truth because when you go to the zoo you can't imagine that these dolphins were tortured only so we can see them in the zoo.
The person that discovered Flipper, he began the whole story of humans and dolphins, now he wants to stop dolphins being held in captivity. Because there is a lot of demand the Japanese hunt dolphins violently. They kill for the meat. A lot of meat in Japan and China is from dolphins and they don't know it. So the Friend of Flipper tries to show the world all the things that murderers of dolphins do. This group fight for a better world and make people aware of what is happening.

Egg rolling

Egg rolling an important part of the Easter tradition in England and some parts of ample Egg rolling usually takes place on Easter Monday. These events can be a release on social event or very competitive.

Eggs are usually hard boiled and then decorated, so they can recognize their egg. There are twice type of egg rolling: One is that eggs are rolled down a hill the objective is usually other is on a flat surface a popular game is to roll an egg along using a spoon in a race to the finish line.

The tradition of egg rolling started in Germany and was a symbol of the goods of fertility. Then the custom  travelled to Europe and to America.

Too yesterday my little brother decorated an egg. First he cooked the egg ad then he painted it with paint. It's a good idea if you are bored.

In Spain the tradition is other. Your godparents buy a mona, a delicious construction from chocolate. Normally an Easter Monday the family meet in one of  house. We do it but  my godparents give me some money.

Gossips

Last month some people created a page on facebook. This originally for meeting and chatting to new people or  gossip. But the people criticise a lot. And don't think about the consequents.

They always criticize a person so the people know who that person is because they put her initials.

Anybody can use it for meeting so I think that this page will be closed.

Some messages would be offensive or prejudice because for exeple the other day someone put L.C cheated on her boyfriend. So possibly they have broken up.

I don't understand why the people likes talk about personal or private affairs of others. That means that people should be worry about their lives and not for criticize what others are doing with their lives.

Nobody should read these pages so they will close the gossips. The gossips as they are use only hurt the people.

My favourite series

Pretty littel liars:

Lies it's a thing wich all the people say. Sometimes it's easier to tell a lie than the truth. Sometimes, the true can hurt people who we love. But, the lies are always discovered. You can't hide or you can try yo hide but here is a day ehen the lie falls, and the truth discovers you.

In this programme there are 4 girls and they go to the college. In the summer, they were five friends but Alyson was murdered. But when they start the college there is an unknown person who sends text messages to the 4 girls. They investigate who is this person but they don't know. this person always sign with the initial A.

Grey's Anatomy:

Grey's Anatomy follows the lives of surgical interns and residents at the Seattle Grace Mery West Hospital, as they gradually envolve into seasoned doctors. Each season tends to represent the phyicians academic year. Every chapter commences with a voice-over narrative from the protagonist: Meredith Grey. A lot love story are happening in the hospital. I learn a lot about medicine.

Description

Now, I going to descrive a friend. her name is Ona, she's my friend and also my cousin. She lives in Castelló, she's sixteen years old and she goes to the same INS. But only I will describe her character.

she's easily embarassed when you say something about her, ever she goes red. Even if you only say: "you have a pretty t-shirt". 

Sometimes she can be a liitel bit bad tempered but other times she can be a sympathetic and likeable person. She's freindly when she wants. She's a great girl if she isn't in a bad mood. She's strong-willed she always has to have the reason.

But she is a person who people like.

When I said before, she can be a bad tempered on some ocassions, but she is a person with an enormous heart.

chat magazines- informative or rubbish

Now, I'm going to talk about chat magazines.

All people like to read a magazines. If you think for example with Cuore you can see that it criticises the famous. Normally their cories. For example: oooh she have cellulitis jajaja. So it's propably taht the people read this to feel better. I mean that if you see a famous person with errors maybe you fell proud with your body. Because a perfect person(famous) has errors.

Even more these magazines don't say anything interesting. Only criticise, don't explai anithing like news or other topics.

But I like the magazines maybe because I'm a gossip and if I read it I know about the famous people. Or maybe because I can see their lives, so it's interesting for me.

All and all, the chat magazines like Cuore is rubbish but they are addictive.

So a lot of girls are addictet to them.

My perfect day

I will get up in a very expensive hotel in Ny with all my friends. Obviously without my parents. We will visit : The Empaire state, and some museams. we eill eat in the best resteurant of NY with a fabulous vrew then we going to the best cake shop and we will buy all that we will want. After that we going to shopping. We will visit all the shops that we like. After we will take a plane and we are going to Hawaii. We will go to the beach and we will swim with the dolphins. Next we will eat something. And we will prepare ouerselves and go to the best party of the year. Finally we will get up in a beautiful hotel with breakfest in our beds.
It would be amazing if I expreienced this perfect Day.

christmas without my all family

During this holidays I'm going to Canaries. This will be the first christmas that I will spend without my big family. I prefer to spend the christmas with my family, because it's the only day in the year that we meet all in the same place. I will miss them. But if I think positive I can think that in Canaries the weather is better than here. I only will pass the christmas with my father, my mother and my brother. I'm sure that I will get bored. It's probably that in Canaries will be more sunnier than here, a lot of relaxing maybe excessive because 9 days for me it's a lot of time. A lot of time without my friends only with my family. I hope that I will spend a great time. lucyly on 31st I will be in Castelló. So I will celebrate a faboulus new year.

Rowing

I practise rowing with my friends. My rowing team is Xon's Rem Empuriabrava.
Rowing is a sport that you need a lot off power. Because we have to overcome the power of the whater. As you can see we don't have much strength. we are working for to getting fit. We run, we are going to the gym and rowing when don't have cold.
My team isn't the best but I so proud to be in it. This summer we weren't ther first but we were third. we strived hard and it paid off.

When we go to competicions we spend a very good time. because we travel arround of Cataloia. and we visit a lot off place. Usualy we spend a weekend and we sleep in hotel or camping. So this weekends are amaizing! two days without parents and we are with our best friends.
The rowing isn't just a sport, we aren't just a group, we are eight athletes thinking like one athlete. The feeling is perfect.

One day a friend told me this sentence, he had all reson. But I answer: Yes, it's true but the life are only two days. So, I think that it's worth the risk. The fall can get me a lot of hurt. But if I fall I know that my friends will be there for suport me and cheer me. 

And now he is making me suffer. But I know that everything will work out. I'm in three metters above the sky so I can't come down.  If we talk of our problemes they will be solved. Now, we can forget the proud. 

In conclusion this sentence: the bigger you are, the harder you fall, she can help you but think that the life are only two days. So carpe diem.

best things, aren't things

Yes, it's true the best things aren't things. It's true. All the things for exemple: the clothes, the phones, the computers, the ipads, the shoes... these things maybe they have to feel you better. But if you think you can see that this happiness they can't be compareted with the feelings that you feel when you are with your friends, for exemple. The phones they can't help you, they can't be happy, they can't do laugh. They can't help you when you are sad. yes, the friends are the best thing that you will can  have. More than the love. Your love isn't stay when you need it but the friends ever are when you need they. Just, I want to say thanks all my friends because I know that I can count on you and they will be there. Thanks for all. They know that they can count on me. I ever  will be there.

Part of my life, the ballet

"Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another"
One thing that it's very important in my life it's the ballet. It's amaizing I can't express what I feel, I feel happy,  sad, exited all the same time. I feel that I'm flaying. Somtimes I feel that I'am a other world.
I don't want to seem conceited but when I'm in the stage I feel that I can eat the world it's the best feeling of the world. All people are looking you, only that I do it's dance. Maybe before I go dancing I'm very nervous but when I start to dance everethings changes. It doesn't matter if you're wrong, just feel the ballet and enjoy it. Ballet is my life. I would like practise it every day but I can't do it.
When I start the hight school I tried to go to ballet in Monday, Wendsday,Thursday, Friday and Saturday but I couldn't to do it because I have a lot off work. So now only I'm going to ballet in Weendsday, Friday and Saturday. This isn't enought but I can't do any more.
Only say that the ballet is a very hard sport. Yes, I consider that it's a beautiful sport.

Sincerly, there are many gyms in my area. If I were you, I'd go to Place gym because it isn't very expensive and they have a very good equipament.
I'm of the opnion that it's not as important the time that you spend doing something as how you do that. So, twice a week it's okay if you work hardly.
About improve your swimming level meet me every saturday at my house. You know that in my house I have a big pool . So, we can train in it. We can train  in time at 10 a.m. If you are agree with that place let me know.
